About Us

We specialize in making the onboarding process for new employees more efficient and standardized. Traditional methods are often inefficient and inconsistent, leading to errors and impacting the work of existing employees as they constantly have to train new colleagues.

Our founder

Behind ARK CLAM is Carmen Stoll, a founder who knows from personal experience how important effective onboarding is. Growing up in a family-run hotel, she learned early on how much dedication, passion and responsibility go into every task—and how quickly small misunderstandings can have a big impact on day-to-day work.

The idea for ARK CLAM took shape during her master’s degree in education and digital learning at FOM University in Hamburg. There, she recognised the gap that often exists between theory and practice in workplace training. She wanted to create a system that makes learning digital while keeping it human, clear and motivating. A system that shows knowledge can be more than slides and mandatory modules: it can inspire people, bring them together and truly help them in their daily work.

ARK CLAM is a web-based learning management system that combines interactive training videos based on real workplace situations with an easy-to-use learning platform. Unlike traditional e-learning systems, ARK CLAM focuses on authentic, practical learning experiences. Targeted interactions—such as questions, decision points and on-screen feedback—actively involve learners instead of asking them to simply watch.

The system draws on research-based learning models. Its educational approach was developed as part of the founder’s master’s thesis and tested empirically in collaboration with Motel One. This gives ARK CLAM both a research foundation and a strong focus on practical use.

By combining interactive video, gamification and clear insights into learning progress, ARK CLAM creates a learning environment designed to help employees apply what they learn at work. While many platforms primarily manage content, ARK CLAM connects learning directly to real workplace situations—making it quick to access, easy to understand and possible to measure
Employees learn effectively with ARK CLAM because the platform is designed around the realities of their working day. Instead of long, overloaded training sessions, it uses Learning Nuggets: short, focused lessons that rarely last more than five minutes. These manageable units help prevent cognitive overload and make it easier to revisit and reinforce key knowledge.

Interactive pauses, decision-making questions and feedback actively involve learners throughout each video. Recalling and applying what they have learned helps them retain information and use it in their daily work. The videos are set in realistic workplace situations, making it easier for employees to recognise the challenges and relate the training to their own roles.

ARK CLAM also includes a gamification system. As employees complete modules, they collect Clams: digital rewards that make their progress visible and encourage them to keep learning. Together, the short lessons, practical scenarios and active participation help employees absorb new information, become more confident in routine tasks and stay motivated to learn regularly.
